He loved going to the beach, traveling and watching football. He was an avid reader with a thirst for knowledge. Richard worked as an independent food distributor, Quality Enterprises, retiring in 2011. Richard was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Bank and New Monmouth Baptist Church, Middletown, actively serving both churches for many years. He was a faithful Christian and loved spreading the word of God to everyone he encountered. He proudly served his country in the U.S Navy and Merchant Marines.
